There’s something personal I’ve been wanting to share for months about White Dwarf and the primer day.
‎‏Since I was a kid, TV and cinema shaped my personality and the way I think. I always felt different from the people around me, and that made me even closer to cinema. Every film I watched was like a conversation with the writer and director. They became my friends teaching me ideas and perspectives I couldn’t find in my surroundings.

‎‏I always wanted to be a filmmaker, but I had no clue how… especially being far away from Amman with zero knowledge about the industry. Still, some films made me believe I could actually do it, even with my basic skills, like Hugo and The Book of Sun (شمس المعارف). That last one, in particular, hit different. It literally felt like it was about me: a guy who loves cinema, trying to reach his dream while struggling with reality, family, and society.

‎‏That film inspired me to keep dreaming and never give up. It felt like it was made just for me. And the craziest part? The main actor, @baraaalem , actually came to my film premiere! It didn’t even feel real. That night felt like a scene straight out of شمس المعارف, the main character achieving his dream, surrounded by family, friends, and… the actor himself, almost as if he was there to say: “I’m glad I inspired you. You did it.”
it felt like if he came out of the film to say this to me.

‎‏This post is simply to thank the amazing crew of شمس المعارف.
@sohaybov @farisgodus @baraaalem @Som3h.h @godusbros
Your film changed my life for the better, even if you don’t know it.
And for sure special thanks to the film crew who shared this experience with me, grateful forever.

‎‏If you told me a year ago that I’d make a film and that the main actor from one of my favorite films would be at the premiere I would’ve said no way. But here we are. Always believe.
