We have just finished recording our second studio album! It was a smooth and satisfying experience thanks to the expertise and positive vibes of @guushoevenaars in the outstanding @newmarketstudios in North Melbourne. Thank you to all our supporters and friends who came to a show this year, and we wish you a safe and happy holiday season. by @ossicleduo
A final snippet of what to expect on Sunday at @joltarts . Here’s an excerpt from ‘Mirageous’ for cymbals, gong, double-bell bass trombone and electronics. A graphic score determines cycle length, frequency, density, and the presence of Ableton controlled live processing. We’re looking forward to seeing you there! by @ossicleduo

Here’s a little preview of ‘Kit (but not)’ that @benhanderson87 wrote as part of CYCLES - our new show coming up on November 23. Tickets are limited and moving fast, and the venue has limited capacity, so book now via ossicleduo.com or the link in bio to join us for an afternoon of new music! by @ossicleduo
With just over a week to go until our concert, we thought we’d share a little about our creative approach to CYCLES. After many years of performing repertoire composed by others, we are for the first time performing a collection of works that were composed by the two of us, with notation by @benhanderson87 and co-created pre-recorded material. We’ve used traditional and graphic notation, as well as incorporating synthesisers and live processing. The result is a journey through spacious, reverb soaked sonic landscapes, cyclic grooves, and lush, resonant textures. We can’t wait to see you on Sunday 23rd at @joltarts at 3pm for a relaxed afternoon with a drink from the $5 bar. by @ossicleduo
On November 1st, we premiered our new work ‘CYCLES’ at @natifrinj . We spent time developing the work in January this year in Natimuk, where we happened to connect with the wonderful artistic director of the festival Alison Eggleton. Alison coincidentally was the host of our AirBnB and supported our @creative_vic grant to make this performance possible. We were so warmly welcomed in Natimuk, and loved exploring all of the other events at this unique and special festival. We’re excited to share the performance again in Melbourne at @joltarts on 23rd November at 3pm. Tickets are on sale now! Visit our website or link in bio to learn more. by @ossicleduo
We are delighted to announce the premiere of our new show CYCLES at the @natifrinj Festival across Melbourne Cup weekend (Natimuk, Victoria). The full programme will be announced on October 5th. CYCLES offers a musical escape from the noise of contemporary life, encouraging listeners to slow down and access a more meditative state. Immerse yourself in a sound bath with shimmering cymbals and gongs, and gradually shifting musical landscapes. We will bring CYCLES to JOLTED arts space in Northcote on 23rd November. Tickets are now available via bio link or at jolted.art. CYCLES is supported by the Victorian Government through the Community Support Fund and @creative_vic by @ossicleduo
Ossicle wishes a safe, peaceful and happy 2025 to all. We’ve just spent a few days in Natimuk being creative, enjoying nature, good food and conversations together. We’ll be excited to share these sounds with you in the coming months! by @ossicleduo
