Nursery part 1 🎊

This room was a blank canvas with white walls left ready for when we were lucky enough to welcome a little one until this week! I am just entering the third trimester and the decorating has started for our baby boy due in January🥹🦕🩵

1. Zach panelled everything himself using b&q basic wood panels, I am super impressed by how professional the finish it
2. Then we went to @claret.and.key - what an incredible company! The quality of the paper is so good and we were able to bespoke Agnes to winter pale nutmeg for our finish.
3. @sj_decorating & team came into finish everything & perfect our wallpaper, & it looks out of this world so thank you 🙌🏻

Keep watch for part 2.. flatpacking continues 😂😂

As summer winds down, I’m all about cosy moments at home. Our downstairs bathroom gives me all the farmhouse feels, even in a newbuild 🏡🍁

Half way to meeting our little boy 💙🥹

I was so quiet on here in the first trimester with being so wiped out & Zach recovering from his surgery again! It was a very tiring early summer but we are coming back, Zach is learning to walk again and my energy is back for home nesting mode!

Lots of home adventures coming in Autumn 🤰🏻#home #nursery #lounge #livingroom #mediawall by @ourcosykingston

Lounge love 🤍.. it’s been a little while since I posted with a tough few months whilst Zach’s been recovering post his knee surgery and I’ve also been zapped of all energy!

But we have good times ahead, some more room renos planned for his recovery and exciting news coming soon 💕🎉

For now, we are relaxing in this space whilst the hot weather gives us a little breather.

2 years ago we had a mound of mud and a blank canvas 🪏… now we have the garden I always dreamt off 🤍it’s been so lovely hosting here the last few weekends 🥰

We get asked alot about our panels… yes we did them ourselves 🧱We brought hundreds of individual wooden battons, created 1mm markers for the gaps between, painted the batons with 2 coats of Ronseal warm stone, layed the original fence with black felt and then started drilling the painted battons on! It’s a long job but worth every second in my opinion 🪴

Pretending I’m back in the south of France with my book & my water in a g&t glass 🍸🪴

Watch this space as I repaint our beautiful Laura James furniture again.. it’s a bit weathered now after 3 winter seasons without a cover but I plan on giving it a good wood stain!

PS Im so excited for all my hydrangeas to bloom alongside my roses 🤍

Hallway views 🤍

From dashing up to Manchester for the BIBA conference to suddenly switching gears and being back in Birmingham again for Zach’s surgery… it’s been mad on the road!

Coming home to these hallway views reminded me how important it is to create a calm sanctuary - a space that holds you when life gets chaotic.

So grateful to have us both back, safe, settled, and with Zach on his road to recovery again. ❤️‍🩹🤍🧘🏻‍♀️ by @ourcosykingston

Garden evenings.. it’s the first evening we’ve sat in the garden this year.. my hydrangeas & climbing roses haven’t come through just yet, but my pink begonias are blooming beautiful 🌺💕

Happy bank holiday community 💖
