POSTS STORIES REELS

I went on down to the 305 and I fear I may be stuck here for a while. 🌴

It’s been a good minute since I’ve been able to run through a series like this. I love a good “come up” and redemption story and each book leaves you wanting MORE.

The fast-paced drama
The suspense
The romance
The big protector energy
The seamless spinoffs

I’m loving every minute of it down here.

Taliban… NEED THAT. 🙂‍↔️🤌🏾

A big thank you to my girl @nayascentedpages for putting me on to one of her faves and for gifting me paperback copies of Dem Boyz From Da Bottom. And a special shoutout to my homegirl @iamkenyalatrice_ for running through this series with me. Our conversations have been nothing short of a GOOD TIME! 🔥♥️

Because Black girls deserve to grow up knowing they are loved, protected, worthy and covered in prayer. 🤎

This is such a beautiful book! Def the kind I want my daughters to grow up with. Words of love, affirmation, and faith. Thank you @briannalaren 💖

The West Grove Series — 𝐴𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠, 𝑆𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑜𝑛 🖤

Book two follows Messiah’s younger brother, Savion. I was really excited to get his story and it was everything I wanted it to be!

I love when a woman can bring a man to his knees, especially one who has avoidant tendencies & is known for being noncommittal. And Kendra did just that 🙂‍↕️

Kendra and Savion’s attraction was felt immediately in the first book, I KNEW she was going to be the one. Strong, confident, and a young Black surgeon to the world, but soft, funny, and lovable to those who truly see her, she gave Savion something no other woman had ever made him feel. His 𝐵𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑒 🥰

Watching that man realize he was down so BAD was everything 😂

Unlike the first book, this one isn’t a romantic suspense, but it still gave us hints of mystery, secrets, and enough intrigue to keep me fully invested. I enjoyed seeing a different side of the West Grove series while still getting the romance and characters I loved in book one.

𝐴𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠, 𝑆𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑜𝑛 releases September 28th! 🖤

Thank you so much for the ARC @kafiwise! I was already excited for Savion’s story, and it was absolutely everything! 🫶🏾 by @ourdaughterslibrary

Have you ever read a spicy romantic suspense? Me either, up until now 🙈 And I thoroughly enjoyed this new release from one of my faves. If there’s one author I can always count on to deliver a good romantic suspense, it’s @takeyamartin 🖤

Mia and Ace’s friends to lovers journey felt so natural and fitting. Ace’s guarded nature and Mia’s need for control complemented each other well. Their dynamic was funny, sexy, commanding and yielding . 😏🔥

Because I love a detective/law enforcement bae, big protector energy and the found family trope, this book had it all. Including romance, mystery, suspense, forced proximity, friends to lovers, and a WHOLE lot of SPICE! As always, I love T.S. Martin’s writing style.
The banter.
The Black cultural references.
The way she intertwines our previous faves that we can’t seem to get enough of, and her overall visual and fast paced storytelling.
So good, now, I’m really hoping Jah gets a book next because he was a mystery to me and you know I love those, and he was hilarious too. Also, did Ace top my One? I don’t feel the need to choose 🤭 by @ourdaughterslibrary

Very much enjoying my summer paperback reads 💛

This book was so warm and gave me all the summer coastal vibes I love. Kristina Forest has such a lighthearted, feel-good writing style, I found myself smiling and blushing throughout the entire book.
It was funny, romantic, healing, and super sweet. I’m usually not a huge fan of fake dating, but this one felt really natural, and Noelle & Jeremiah’s chemistry was believable and addicting. I enjoyed the found family trope and the beautiful themes of legacy throughout the story.
Highly recommend adding this to your summer reading list, especially for a beautiful day spent lounging on your favorite beach. 💛

I love it when I finally find out what a book title actually means because our mouths were drop dead on the floor when we discovered what The Alchemy of Souls truly meant. It makes no sense how good this book was and Granger’s mystifying mind!

This series keeps getting deeper, darker and more mind bending than the last. Felt like we needed a straight jacket just to recover from emotional whiplash. (Check our reactions, lol)

I didn’t think anything could top The Mortal Affairs, but THIS ONE is by far my favorite! The explosive reveals, unexpected alliances and nonstop suspense had me on EDGE from beginning to end. This was definitely an experience with my Moon Sisters, always 🌙🖤

The exclusive Eisenberg covers are so beautiful 😍
I’d buy Luca in EVERY paperback form, just to keep loving him more in every version.

POV: One day your long-distance bestie will send for you, and it’s very important that you go. ♥️

This weekend was sooo needed. I had the best time full of laughter, love & revival. I arrived carrying the weight of the world & left feeling lighter, seen, heard, and a little more restored.

Grateful for the people God placed in my corner. This friendship has always been my safe place, but this weekend truly opened my eyes and brought me back to life.

Shout out to my best-friend of 20+ years & brother for showing me an absolute amazing time! For reminding me that softness still exists, that joy still knows my name & that healing can honestly just look like being loved on well. Love them both ♥️ by @ourdaughterslibrary

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘 🌱🌸

I love when a book finds me exactly when I need it most. Especially one that waters my soul and leaves me with a renewed perspective on life’s challenges. My own life’s challenges.

The kind that reminds you it’s okay to start over. To bloom right where you’re planted. No matter your past, your pain, your trauma, your grief, or your fears; there is always a new day and a chance to plant new seeds and take one step at a time towards healing & purpose.

We follow Leigh’s journey as an escaped convicted felon who stumbles into the right place at the right time. Watching that place become her refuge, her resilience, and ultimately her redemption was written in such a transformative, beautiful way.

I really loved everything about this story. The flower metaphors, the changing seasons mirroring personal growth, the reminder to truly live instead of just survive. It elegantly explores how to carry pain without letting it carry you. How deeply our lives are intertwined with nature, love, and connection.

It’s always going to be a found family trope with a southern setting that will easily be a 5 star read for me. I don’t know what it is, but that life calls to me profoundly.

And Jackson… yeah, that’s a real man right there. The yearning, romance, intimacy that felt safe and sure. ♥️ I didn’t want this book to end.

Perfect book for Spring; renewal, renovation & restoration. Highly recommend.
