Our Seaside Den 🌿 🌊

I cleared a tiny space on the board just to remind myself what peace looks like. The rest of the house? It’s messy… cluttered. It’s a bit of a muddle.

I’m a mum of two boys with a habit of looking closer at labels, and I’ve decided to stop waiting for ‘someday’ to have a mindful home. I’m starting right here, one square at a time, finding the best swaps for an intentional family life.

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s about making room for what matters.

Welcome to the Den. Let’s swap the muddle for something more sustainable. 🧼✨

Slow mornings with my favorite little coffee date. An iced matcha for me, a babyccino for him, and a moment to just pause. ☕️🌿 by @ourseasideden

Small swap, big difference. 🌿🩵

Period products are an everyday essential we rarely question, but conventional options often hide synthetic materials and plastics.

Switching to plastic-free and organic cotton alternatives has been such a gentle shift—it feels so much better for the earth, and honestly, so much better for your body too.

Have you made any simple sustainable swaps in your routine lately? ✨

Embracing all of it today. 🍫☕️

Some days call for productivity, and other days call for comfy pants, extra grace, and a bit of quiet space. Honoring whatever phase you’re in this week.

Proof that you don’t always need to capture the main attraction to catch something special! 🌊

We managed to spot a whale out past the swell in Tathra, but this photo was all about that unbelievable water color. Looking down into these crystal-clear sea tones from the wharf is pure magic.

How are you spending your school holidays? ☕✨

Do you remember how these seeds started only a few months ago in repurposed toilet paper rolls? We are so happy finally have plenty of these sugar snap peas reach our dinner table! by @ourseasideden

The sweetest rituals happen right here at home ✨

Baking gingerbread together on a quiet afternoon, filling the kitchen with warm spices and bright icing. I love watching his creative mind at work—turning a simple cookie into a playful masterpiece about a story we were reflecting on earlier.

It’s not about perfection; it’s about connection, presence, and making our space feel like a true sanctuary for moments like these. 🤍 by @ourseasideden

Creating a sanctuary at home doesn’t mean having a perfectly curated space 24/7.

For us, it’s about those tiny, intentional choices that bring a sense of calm to the chaos—a warm cup of coffee before the house wakes up, soft natural light, or swapping out visual clutter for things that feel good to use.

What’s one small thing in your home that brings you an instant sense of peace? 🌿✨ by @ourseasideden

Paper over plastic! 📦🧻

One of the easiest low-waste swaps in our home is ditching single-use plastic wrapping for 100% recycled paper. Buying in bulk means fewer supermarket runs, zero plastic waste, and bright colors that actually look cute on the shelf!

Small everyday choices make a big difference. Have you made the switch to plastic-free toilet paper yet? 🌿✨ by @ourseasideden

Sunday morning pancake routine! 🥞✨

We went with organic blueberry pancakes today, and can we take a moment to appreciate the non-stick magic of a properly preheated stainless steel pan? Zero sticking, perfect golden edges every time.

Plus, loading up on juicy blueberries is such an easy win for breakfast:
🫐 Brain Fuel: They’re packed with antioxidants (flavonoids) that help support focus, memory, and cognitive health for growing minds!
🫐 Nutrient Boost: Rich in Vitamin C and K to keep energy high and little immune systems strong.

Simple, nourishing, and delicious. What’s on your breakfast plate today? ☕️ by @ourseasideden

Proof that sustainable living doesn’t require matching, aesthetic sets. 🫙✨

Old salsa and jam jars washed, saved, and repurposed for a week of berry chia overnight oats. Simple habits, zero waste, and peaceful mornings prepped ahead. 🍓🌱 by @ourseasideden

Unboxing the ultimate low-waste upgrade! 🩷 ☕️

I tried so hard to stick with my old reusable (plastic) cups, but lukewarm coffee was putting a serious damper on my favourite morning ritual.

FINALLY upgraded to a leak-proof stainless steel one—here’s to hot coffee happiness! by @ourseasideden
