$301 and a couple hours of work for major impact! COUNT ME IN!

I wallpapered over frames and trimmed this large boring wall at the entrance of our home to make it a real accent wall in our home. The battery operated sconces add nice light in the evenings as well!

Some stills of our sunroom revamp! Of course never finished but 90% there! This room has gained so much personality in the last 2 years of living here and I’m so happy it feels just as bright and sunny as all the light it lets in the house🩷

Loving:
-New bright and airy doors and windows @renewalbyandersen
-Thrifted chairs from Facebook Marketplace
-Arched bookshelf from @walmart if you don’t have one you need one
-Multi color throw pillows and artwork from @targetstyle
-Cook books on display
-Coffee corner (French press is life)
-Table from @homedepot

progress > perfection

Walls: Sherwin Williams (SW) Alabaster @sherwinwilliams
Trim: SW Shoji White (minus the patio door trim- needs to be painted following the door replacement)

Hi friends! I realized it’s been a while since I introduced myself! I’m Meghan, the face behind @owendesignsdiy. I share approachable DIY projects, design inspiration, and budget friendly ways to make a house feel like home. You can usually find me chasing my little girls around. They are my little helpers for all my paint projects. I genuinely love home projects and connecting with people. DMs are always open to chat about your favorite project that you’re working on! Can’t wait to share more of my own projects this season!🥳 Thanks for being here! by @owendesignsdiy

YOU GOT THIS BESTIE! If you can’t do it, it’s just because you have yet to try it! ❤️ give it a whirl! My DM are always open 🫶 #girlpower #girltogirl #womensupportingwomen #homediy #womensupportwomen by @owendesignsdiy

The little awkward silence when I tell someone I love home projects and DIY versus when I show them some of my projects and the way they’re shocked… like what did yall think I meant? #homeproject #homediy #transitionalstyle #homedecor #homestyle by @owendesignsdiy

How many wall plates is too many wall plates? Asking for a friend…

I didn’t know how to use a drill much less a saw 3 years ago when I started. I also didn’t know how to use a sewing machine until Sunday when my mom taught me. I don’t just dream it anymore, I do it! And my little girls are watching so I’m sure as heck going to give it everything I got!

This phase of the dog food station is now complete 👏
I’m planning on changing the curtain out for the seasons so stay tuned.

It really is the little things! These beautiful gold wall plates by @monarchabode really spruced up this room and were so easy to install! Upgrading wall plates is a quick way to rid your home of builder grade blah! #simplediy #homedecor #homeupgrade #buildergradebegone #homestyle by @owendesignsdiy

Trends sure are fun but I want my house to feel like anyone who walks in it knows a piece of me 🫶 if you love your home and spaces, you won’t be caught trying to change it every season with the trends 🤍 #homedecor #homedesign #homeinterior #interiordecor #homestyle by @owendesignsdiy
