Grateful for everyone who participated in our friends and family launch of our new social media marketing venture - Harpoon at the @sundanceorg film festival! We had a wonderful time in snowy Park City, Utah with clients, friends, and our family getting to listen to unreleased symphonic experiences produced by @leoncarlo

2 years ago today - we escaped my house before it burned down and I lost everything I owned (no - I didn't have insurance, yes - I do now have insurance!)

I wanted to finally take the time to thank everyone who showed up for me in my time of need - including (but not limited to):

@markwspooner & @leahseraobattillo for creating and facilitating a GoFundMe campaign.

All 96 GoFundMe donors who collectively raised $10,960 for me to rebuild.

@mbgriffin22 for graciously letting me live in his home rather than be homeless.

@americanredcross's Disaster Relief program who were first on the scene with petty cash, volunteers, and a hotel when I could not access my funds.

Notice that it wasn't a government official who was there for me (despite all the taxes…) - it was private citizens like you and me and organizations started and run by private citizens with a mission of giving back. If we want to be a responsible society, we can't sit on the sidelines and assume our elected leaders will be there for us, we need to continue to be generous with our neighbors and our actions.

In that vein - now that I have rebuilt - I have decided to donate the entirety of the $10,960 I received in donations to The Disaster Relief program of The American Red Cross. In addition to that, I have also secured matching of $3000 for a total donation of $13,960 to support other people who might find themselves in the same situation I was in.

I want this post to serve as some hope as we navigate these tumultuous times and that we don't lose sight of our Kindness Mandate. And never give up! We didn’t let this stop us from shooting @meanspiritedfilm a few weeks after :)
