if vegan, why meat?? 🤯

this is my 60 second version answer to a question i’m so tired of answering no matter how respectfully it’s asked (because it’s asked a LOT and it’s truly so easy for the asker to find the answer if they would just look beyond the comments)

we’ve been doing high holiday meals together since college and grown as people and friends, which is so precious right?? what an honor it is to cook and host for people i love!

hope you’re having a meaningful high holiday season, if you’re MOT!

ps i did way overbake this challah (sorrrry) because my thermometer was set to celsius instead of fahrenheit and didn’t realize until it was a lil late but despite my silliness i promise the recipe is still a good one please try it!!

8 years of those ears!!! happy ginniversary to my entire soul🦇💚 by @oyveyitskay

easy allergen-friendly (and wallet friendly) pesto!

i don’t measure (& never will, sorry) but ingredients are:
🌱toasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds
🌱fresh basil (sometimes i also do fresh parsley, you can also do cilantro instead!)
🌱garlic
🌱lemon juice
🌱nutritional yeast (can also add some shredded vegan parm)
🌱olive oil
🌱salt

directions:
🙂‍↕️blend!

i do seeds, herbs, nooch/cheese, garlic, lemon juice, salt, then drizzle in the oil until i get the texture i want. you’ll figure it out, i believe in you!

repeat after me: it’s easier than it looks! 🔁

i have a learning disability that makes my spatial processing abilities not so good, so i’m also not so good at things that involve shapes or teaching myself stuff from diagrams or even youtube videos, but if i can get this shape down i believe you can too!

psst if you know how to braid a round challah, this is the same process, just with double strands.

also i apologize for choosing the messiest goopy filling to make this step-by-step, but on the plus side, i can now confirm apple butter challah is delishhhhh😇

(the loaf from the first slide is cinnamon sugar, so it’s much neater and easier to see how nice this braid looks!)

📍my egg-free fluffy asf challah recipe is on sub stack, find more info in the 1st post pinned to my page!
