🎂 Happy 194th Birthday, Jonathan! 🐢❤️ Meet Jonathan, a Seychelles giant tortoise who is believed to have been born around 1832. Today, he is celebrating his 194th birthday, making him the oldest known living land animal in the world! Jonathan arrived on the island of Saint Helena in 1882, when he was already around 50 years old. Since then, he has witnessed generations come and go, survived two world wars, and lived through nearly two centuries of human history. Despite his incredible age, Jonathan still enjoys basking in the sunshine and spending time in his home at Plantation House. 194 years of life, countless memories, and a living connection to history. Happy birthday, Jonathan! May your days be filled with sunshine and gentle care. 🥹❤️🐢
