16 years ago, our Ithumba team found a young calf incarcerated in a drying dam. She was completely bogged in the mud and could have easily gone undiscovered. Today, that same elephant is living wild and a mother of two beautiful daughters. Ithumbah, as we named her, grew up in our care before reclaiming her place among Tsavo’s elephants. She gave birth to her first baby, Iman, in 2022. Iris followed last November. Although they are leading entirely wild lives, Ithumbah and her girls are regular visitors around Ithumba — these photos were taken just a few days ago. It’s such a privilege to be part of these elephants’ stories, from one rescued orphan to a whole family. — The fact that most of our ex-orphans continue to visit us, long after they have embraced their independence, shows just how powerful family bonds are in elephant society. Thank you for being part of that family. Your support makes these stories possible. Because of you, we are able to not only rescue orphans, but also commit upwards of a decade to their day-and-night care, until they are ready to return to the wild. AD/Pr ✨ Beautiful skin begins with beautiful cleansing. As we get older, our skin deserves a little extra care, even when we’re simply removing our makeup. I’ve been trying the @gatineau_skincare Collagène Expert Melting Cleansing Balm, and I love how luxurious and nourishing it feels on my skin. What makes this cleanser so special? 🌿 It’s formulated with 10 nourishing oils and butters, including: ✨ Sweet Almond Oil – softens and conditions ✨ Shea Butter – deeply nourishing and helps prevent moisture loss ✨ Jojoba Oil – helps maintain softness ✨ Olive Oil – rich in nourishing fatty acids ✨ Castor Oil – helps dissolve makeup ✨ Oat Kernel Oil – known for its soothing properties ✨ Baobab Seed Oil – nourishes and conditions ✨ Meadowfoam Seed Oil – helps retain moisture ✨ Andiroba Seed Oil – helps soften and replenish ✨ Sunflower Seed Oil – supports the skin’s moisture barrier And there’s more! The formula also contains Phyto-Collagen Complex, Squalane, Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, helping to support hydration and leave skin feeling beautifully soft and comfortable. It melts away makeup, SPF and the day’s impurities without leaving my skin feeling stripped. For me, cleansing should be more than simply removing makeup. It should be a little moment of luxury at the end of the day. Cleansed. Nourished. Never Stripped. ✨ #Gatineau #GatineauSkincare #MatureSkin #beautyover50 #matureskincare
. #Kemenkes #Asap
