Happy Birthday papaw ❤️ I miss you so much and i know we talk everyday, but i can’t wait to hear your voice and see your face again someday. It never gets easier and you’re the first person i want to call whenever i have something on my mind. But i know you’re enjoying the show from above, and i’ll have so many more stories for you when i see you again. I miss you man. Love you.

This was a fun story from my special “Matthew Steven Rife” on YouTube. He would’ve loved it 🥹

I know this triggers people, but so many of us in Canada fantasize about leaving. I’m just saying it out loud.

If you only knew the USA, especially Texas, through Canadian news coverage, you’d wonder why anyone would want to spend time here. Then you land, experience it for yourself, and start questioning the picture you’ve been painted.

Living in Montreal, I increasingly feel like getting ahead means pushing against a system that penalizes you the moment you start doing well. You work harder, build more, and somehow still feel like you’re running in place. Add the long, brutal winters, and I’ve started asking myself: Is this really where I want to spend my life? What could life look like somewhere else?

For me, landing in Texas feels like exhaling. The energy shift is night and day. The people I’ve met have been kind, ambitious, and welcoming. There’s a sense of possibility that makes me excited about what could be built here. And the parts of Dallas I’ve explored feel so clean, functional, and easy to enjoy. Something we heavily lack in Montreal.

Of course, visiting somewhere isn’t the same as living there. I need more time here, a better understanding of the everyday trade-offs, and clarity on whether a visa would even be possible, a process I know is difficult but not impossible. Maybe moving makes sense. Maybe splitting my time does. I don’t have anything figured out yet. But I did know step one was having the courage to take a thought and book a flight to start somewhere and see for myself.

I also don’t need every answer to acknowledge how I feel right now. Staying in Quebec has started to feel suffocating, and I know I’m not the only one.

What’s also struck me is how much hostility I’ve gotten from fellow Canadians just for saying I love being in the USA. Meanwhile, Americans don’t seem to share the same hostility back. If anything, they’re welcoming.

You can love where you come from and still want a different life somewhere else. So many of our parents left their home countries because they wanted a better life. Why is it so controversial when we wonder if ours might be somewhere else, too?

Gracie Bon is getting dragged online, and she’s not staying quiet about it. The Instagram model is answering the backlash over pictures that show her posing in front of destroyed homes in earthquake-hit Panama. Her message to critics is that the photos were never about her…

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit Panama on October 9, 2026. Bon posted the controversial photos on Sunday, October 11, showing her in white clothing among damaged structures, scattered bricks and broken household items. Of course many called the framing insensitive and said people’s ruined homes shouldn’t double as a backdrop for influencer content.

Bon, who is Panamanian, sent us a statement to set the record straight, saying she was only using the attention she’s used to getting to spotlight something far more important than her body, the latest natural disaster that has hit her country.
“Yes, I was in Panama City visiting my family when the earthquake happened. It was so strong, but we were not affected. The affected areas were in the countryside. Everyone lost their homes. But the media, the news, no one was really talking about it. They were all saying Panama is doing great because no one lost their lives.” That, she says, is what pushed her to act. “So the first thing I did was buy more than $20K in donations, and of course my intent was to give visibility to my country.
