The Love Hypothesis (2026) The Love Hypothesis is a romantic comedy directed by Claire Scanlon, based on Ali Hazelwood's bestselling novel of the same name. The film stars Lili Reinhart as Olive Smith and Tom Bateman as Dr. Adam Carlsen, alongside Rachel Marsh, Jaboukie Young-White, Nicholas Duvernay and Arty Froushan. It premiered on Prime Video on September 23, 2026. The story follows Olive Smith, a Ph.D. candidate whose life takes an unexpected turn when she impulsively kisses Adam Carlsen, an intimidating professor in her department. What begins as a situation meant to convince her best friend Anh that she has moved on from her crush eventually turns into a fake relationship between Olive and Adam. As they spend more time together, their carefully planned arrangement becomes increasingly complicated by genuine feelings and an unexpected connection. At its heart, the film explores the difference between what people plan, expect and actually feel. Olive is focused on her academic future while Adam has a reputation for being difficult and intimidating, yet their relationship gradually challenges the assumptions they have about each other. The combination of academic life, friendship, humour and an unexpected romance gives the story its central charm. #taehyung #fyp #wattpadfiction #unfreezemyaccount #bookstagram sangyan wenyifan kdrama kdramaedit fyppppppppppp explore
