We love the winter, the snow, and the mountains. But Denver seems to love to toss these 70-degree spring days in the midst of the cold and we absolutely love it. Today we are thinking back on the last winter respite and our companion for the day. Neighbor dog, and resident muppet — @zekebrowngravy.

We took Zeke out for a park session and tossed the ball around. Or at least we tried to, and Zeke kept “forgetting” to give the ball back. Regardless we were ecstatic to be out and about. Most exciting of all… we found a patent right in our hands! 🤓What? Zeke gets excited about a tennis ball, and we get excited about patents. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Don’t judge.

If you don’t… you might eat your pizza with a fork and knife… but let’s move on. Regardless of your love for dogs, you likely don’t enjoy dog slobber. And we all know [Dog + Tennis Ball = Slobber]. This could have been Einstein’s second most important theory, but it was eclipsed by some silly equation about “relativity". Our esteemed inventor Mark Oblack must have been a fan of Einstein’s. Or perhaps just hated dog slobber, so much so that he developed a handy “Ball Throwing Apparatus and Method” to protect us from the slimy goo that builds upon an overly fetched tennis ball.

Enter the Chuckit!®. A dog throwing toy that saves you from the heebie-jeebies, the cooties, and throwing out your arm too. So perfectly simple.

The Chuckit!® patent has since expired — October 5, 2018 — 20 years from the filing date. But not before Chuckit! established itself as a leading company in the design and manufacture of dog toys. And at least 38 patents for these dog toys name Mr. Mark Oblack.

That deserves a pat on the head. Who’s a good inventor? Who’s a good inventor?

U.S. Patent No. 6.076,829; Inventor: Mark Oblack

Such a great invention. Not to be outdone by the Italian fingers on the illustrations. 🤣
