College football delivered one of the wildest Saturdays of the season on October 17, with multiple top-ranked teams suffering shocking losses. The biggest upset came when unranked Auburn stunned No. 1 Georgia 27-24 on a last-second field goal, erasing an early 14-0 deficit and handing the Bulldogs a devastating loss. Florida also rallied from a 17-3 deficit to defeat No. 7 Texas 27-24 in Austin, with freshman quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. throwing for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Texas quarterback Arch Manning lost a costly fumble late in the game, giving Florida a chance to close out the upset. Meanwhile, No. 14 Tennessee dominated No. 6 Alabama 26-10, recording five sacks and forcing four turnovers in a statement victory that could significantly shake up the SEC and College Football Playoff race.

There were plenty of other major results across the country. No. 4 Ohio State edged No. 5 Indiana 19-15, ending Indiana’s 22-game winning streak in a defensive battle that came down to the final seconds. No. 22 LSU shut out No. 16 Mississippi State 31-0 behind quarterback Sam Leavitt’s four touchdown passes, while No. 9 Ole Miss crushed No. 13 Missouri 31-3. No. 10 Texas Tech also overwhelmed Arizona State 53-25, continuing its strong season, and No. 24 SMU defeated Virginia 23-13. With Georgia, Texas and Alabama all losing on the same day, the national championship picture looks much different heading into next week. Several major matchups are still underway tonight, including Notre Dame versus BYU and Florida State versus Miami.

This is the most valid question anyone has ever asked about Avengers: Infinity War! 😂👀

Thor came closer than anyone. In the final moments of Infinity War he buried Stormbreaker directly into Thanos’s chest - deep enough that Thanos himself acknowledged it. The Avengers had him. The snap still happened because Thor went for the chest instead of the head, and Thanos used his final breath to tell him exactly why that was a mistake.

The Russo Brothers addressed this directly. Their answer was that Thanos could have survived decapitation the same way he survived Stormbreaker through the chest - the Infinity Gauntlet’s power was already coursing through his body and a being of that magnitude operates by different biological rules than a normal creature..

The more honest answer is that fourteen million six hundred and five futures were examined by Doctor Strange and only one of them ended in victory - and that victory required Tony Stark’s snap in 2023, not Thanos’s death in 2018.

The timeline needed Thanos alive long enough to bring everyone back so they could all be present to stop him permanently!
