WHAT A HUGE SURPRISE. 🥹 I’ve been nominated for the @europeanoutdoorfilmtour Adventurer Award, and I can hardly believe it.

This award celebrates people who use the outdoors as a platform for something bigger than physical achievements. People who create impact, stand up for what matters, and use their adventures to challenge perspectives, build awareness and make the world a better place, environmentally, socially and as global citizens.

After 14 months cycling across Europe and Africa and seven months touring cinemas across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with @samesun.film, this nomination feels like the most beautiful and unexpected way to close this chapter.

Because for me, the journey has always been about more than the kilometres. Through my travels and films, I want to show that we are stronger than our fears, that we are more connected than we think, and that meeting people beyond borders, challenging stereotypes and seeing each other as human beings, with all our complexities, struggles and hopes, can change the way we see the world.

At a time when populism, racism and dehumanisation are threatening the very foundations of our societies, building bridges is not a naive dream. It is a necessity. We need to look beyond borders, backgrounds and beliefs and remember that we are all human beings under the same sun. Not only do we owe each other respect. We depend on each other.

I believe adventure can be a powerful way to make us feel that connection. To turn fear into curiosity, strangers into friends and distant places into something deeply personal.

Changing the world can feel impossibly big. But we can start by changing the way we see it, the way we see each other, and the way we choose to be part of it. 🤍

To underline this, the prize money will be shared with @womenforwomen & @worldbicyclerelief — rebuilding lives & empowering women in war zones, and mobilizing people with the power of bikes.

Thank you @faebs.engel for being by my side on this mission all the way! Shout out to the wonderful and strong @tamaraklink, @borgeousland & @vincentcolliard for their projects and well deserved nominations. You can vote now. Link in bio.

A Vande Bharat Express gliding across the world’s highest railway arch bridge, surrounded by towering mountains and a deep river valley, has become the internet’s latest visual spectacle. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared stunning drone footage of the train crossing the iconic Chenab Railway Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, drawing widespread attention on social media.

The cinematic video captures the Vande Bharat travelling across the massive steel structure in Reasi district, suspended hundreds of metres above the Chenab River. A drone follows the train while moving around the bridge, capturing dramatic angles from beneath the towering arch to above the railway tracks. PM Modi described the engineering achievement as marvellous and ambitious, with the footage attracting millions of views.

Standing 359 metres above the riverbed, the Chenab Railway Bridge is approximately 35 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The structure stretches 1,315 metres across the valley and features a massive 467-metre steel arch. Built in one of India’s most challenging mountainous regions, the bridge is designed to withstand extreme winds and seismic activity.

The bridge was inaugurated by PM Modi on June 6, 2025, as part of the ambitious Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. The railway corridor represents a major infrastructure milestone, providing an all-weather rail connection between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of India’s railway network.

The viral footage comes shortly after another significant railway achievement. On October 2, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video showing a Vande Bharat Express crossing both the Chenab and Anji Khad bridges at 100 kmph for the first time, following an increase in the permitted speed on the Katra-Banihal section.
