Sylvie Win is made to dance, not because of an innate talent she does or does not have but rather it’s her passion as a true artist.

She spent a week at @jacobspillow surrounded by incredible dancers, artistic directors, and choreographers. The stage is her favorite place, & she loved performing a contemporary solo. However, her favorite part were the classes.

Video shows class with the incredible @sascharadetsky , who so graciously taught.

Sylvie Win got to take classes she would never normally be able, grabbing the barre next to incredible stars & the rising next generation of dancers. Sylvie Win was by far the youngest & least experienced, but everyone welcomed her. She was intimated but did not let that stop her. My pride comes from her absolute desire to learn & improve herself, to put herself out there in classes far too challenging while knowing she is the least expert, & being so grateful for each moment. Thank you to all who make these days possible.

Thank you to @yagp for these experiences that allow dancers to grow & connect them with their dance futures. Thank you to Miss Larissa for taking so much time & personally ensuring each dancer is growing. Thank you to all the dancers from @abtstudioco , @bostonballet2 , @houstonballet , @sfballetschool , @abballetschool , @schoolofphiladelphiaballet , @theharidconservatory , @fordhamfclc , @osipovaballetacademy , & so many more for being so gracious. Sylvie was in awe of you.

Thank you to @masterballetacademy , especially @irenawozniak , @mwozniak1 , @slawek_wozniak , and @felliperamos_c . Thank you to all her contemporary teachers and choreographers, especially @izzy.howard , @kylan_wright , and @thecatherinepiper . Thank you to Master for their insistence on growth - Sylvie Win once said her worst move was a pirouette. Mr. Slawomir insisted she do Graduation Ball as a variation (they like to pick ones with your weakness so it’s about learning not placing). He then taught her turns, so many different kinds. Same with grand allegro.

These videos show mistakes. But she is learning each day & growth comes in the discomfort.
