A couple years ago I would never even have thought to speak to myself like that ☝🏻 A couple years ago I had no idea what I wanted from life. I only knew that I wasn’t happy with the way things were going. Not happy with political discourse, not happy with the middle class losing money and power, not happy with my own life and my own projection of my future.
I wasn’t happy with any of that, but because my natural state is optimism and joy, I was just happy ENOUGH to be complacent.
I had no idea how to make a change in the world, but I had the feeling that I wanted to do something. I knew that I felt that way because I spent countless hours online researching and complaining about the problems.
I was focusing on the problems instead of focusing on the solutions.
In these past two years I have learned so much. I’ve learned about myself. I’ve learned about other people. I’ve learned systems that help us and systems that hurt us.
Through everything that I’ve learned, there are a few things that I find most important.
1. Believe in yourself, because anything that you set your mind to do, can be done. There’s no limit, so think it, plan it, and do it.
2. Focusing on problems does not produce solutions. Awareness of problems is fine, but only by maintaining focus on SOLUTIONS will we create the change that we desire in ourselves, our business, our family, our world... I’d love to hear some solutions that you are planning for your life. I’d love to hear some of your self talk. Positive or negative. We all start somewhere.
What can you say to yourself today and what solutions can you focus on today to create your ideal future?
