DID I MENTION: A man in Betootaโ€™s French Quarter has today taken a moment to remind everyone heโ€™s so into films that heโ€™s even one to frequent the cinema alone, by choice. Isaac Miles (29) had been describing a movie he went to see last Thursday when he decided to make sure everyone had heard him correctly. โ€œYeah I went to the cinemas alone the other day to go check out this new film thatโ€™s showing at the moment and I went alone, have you heard of it, itโ€™s called, ummmm,โ€ he said. โ€œAnyway. Doesnโ€™t matter. The director is trying something really cool and new and fresh.โ€ โ€œI honestly love going to the cinemas on my own. It's such a refreshing experience.โ€ โ€œLike genuinely, if I got pulled up for one of those vox pop interview things on the street where someone's like โ€˜whatโ€™s an unpopular opinion you haveโ€™, Iโ€™d for sure have to say going to the movies alone is better than going with friends.โ€ โ€œIโ€™d probably get sooo roasted in the comments dude and the host would for sure be like โ€˜whatttt man!โ€™ but for real thatโ€™s my hot take! Going to the movies alone is better, like only some people are cut out for it though Iโ€™d say.โ€ โ€œIโ€™ve always been a real lone wolf like that though. Like a dark horse if you will.โ€ โ€œTbh, I didnโ€™t even bother asking any of my friends if they wanted to come with because I feel like itโ€™s just such a totally immersive and conceptual and trippy film, I felt the whole premise would likely be lost on them if Iโ€™m being honest.โ€ โ€œAnyway, how did I even get onto that?โ€ โ€œOh yeah. I was talking about this movie I saw.โ€ โ€œGoing to the cinemas is just such a lost art, like I hardly know anyone who does it anymore, literally Iโ€™m the only person I know who does it, probably why Iโ€™m always going alone.โ€ Our reporter sighed and checked her watch before mentally resigning from anything Isaac had to say.
