Dozens of masked Israeli settlers attacked a group of Palestinians on Friday while they were picking olives in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, seriously injuring several people. Heidi Levine, a veteran Washington Post photographer who was covering the harvest, was also injured in the attack.

Shortly after 8 a.m. during the start of the harvest, the settlers descended on the village of Khirbet Abu Falah, a small hamlet of fewer than 6,000 people northeast of Jerusalem, according to residents and the mayor.

A team of New York Times journalists arrived on the scene around 9:30 a.m. Read more about what our reporters saw at the link in our bio.

Your vote is your business but I will not join any foolishness rebranding Kamala Harris on her legacy on genocide. Ask her specifically what ‘leverage’ she didn’t use to stop Israel and why. Ask her what specifically she would do different now. This speech is just tokenistic bullshit I do not buy. The only one who can change my mind about Kamala Harris is Kamala Harris. She is not even doing the bare minimum to show she’s grown a spine and a conscience.

Demand better of presidential candidates. Accountability should be non-negotiable.

Remember my daughter voted for Kamala Harris. I never told her not to - I raise my kids to make their own political decisions but to think it through. Her preference was the Green party but she felt Kamala had a stronger chance of beating Trump than Jill Stein. Even though she hated Kamala's stance on Israel she felt Trump was a greater danger to ALL.

I don't need to tell you all how much I despise and detest Trump. I've spent years saying it on national / international television and in print.
