Jada Pinkett Smith has been a major figure in Hollywood for decades, building a career through acting, producing, and television. She gained recognition in the 1990s through projects like A Different World, Menace II Society, and Set It Off, before appearing in major franchises like The Matrix and Madagascar. Beyond her acting career, her personal life and marriage to Will Smith have frequently attracted public attention. One of the most discussed parts of Jada’s life is her longtime friendship with Tupac Shakur, whom she met while attending the Baltimore School for the Arts. The two developed a close bond before Tupac became one of hip-hop’s biggest stars, and Jada has spoken openly about how much their friendship meant to her. Even decades after his passing in 1996, their connection continues to generate conversations online, especially whenever Jada references their history together. 😭 #JadaPinkettSmith #Tupac #Hollywood
31 years ago today, Tha Dogg Pound released their debut studio album, Dogg Food, on October 31, 1995. The Death Row Records duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt delivered a hard-hitting West Coast project rooted in G-funk, sharp lyricism, and the sound that helped define the label’s mid-’90s run. The album featured standout tracks like “New York, New York,” “Let’s Play House,” “Respect,” “Dogg Pound Gangstaz,” and “Smooth,” with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Michel’le, and others. Dogg Food helped establish Tha Dogg Pound as a major force in West Coast Hip-Hop and remains one of Death Row’s defining releases from the era. 🔊 💡Did You Know? Daz Dillinger handled much of the album’s production, with additional production from DJ Pooh and Kurupt. #ThaDoggPound #DoggFood #DazDillinger #Kurupt #DeathRowRecords
MCKENNA GRACE ENTERS THE ARENA “I’ve watched these movies and read these books a million times,” gushes Cosmopolitan cover star @mckennagraceful. “To be running off my own podium toward the cornucopia, this is not real to me.” Katniss Everdeen raised her. ‘Hunger Games’ posters decorated her bedroom walls. Even while working as a child actor, she spent her time editing Peeta Mellark fan cams. Now, Mckenna is moving from fan edit creator to subject as the snarky but sweet District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner in the ‘Hunger Games’ prequel ‘Sunrise on the Reaping.’ But despite her own name in lights, Mckenna still sees herself as the ultimate ‘Hunger Games’ fangirl. “I was very invested in all of it—the headcanons and the fan base.” For Cosmopolitan’s Winter 2026 cover story, Mckenna talks about going from “kid on set” to “adult on set,” being madly, loudly in love with her boyfriend @masonthames, and that iconic “Team Peeta” fan edit that may or may not still be haunting her.
