Hi fall!👋🏻🎃🪎🙈👻💋✨

Iran’s left found out who was using whom when it was far too late to change course. Americans still have time to ask the question.

Last night wasn’t one surprise win. The Democratic Socialists of America picked up at least five House seats, Michigan sent a senator to Washington who campaigned with Hasan Piker, and New York elected lawmakers who spent the last two years at encampments and Gaza rallies.

Most voters didn’t choose any of this. They were angry at an unpopular president and the cost of living, and they voted for whoever had a D next to their name. That’s exactly how coalitions like this one get into power without anyone signing off on what they believe.

The progressives cheering last night say they stand for women’s rights, gay rights and free speech. One day, they may realize this coalition was the beginning of the end of those rights.

Yesterday, I went to a hotel close to the airport to get a drink, and one of the hotel staff members gave me his personal bank account number to make payment.

He only started apologising when I told him I wasn’t going to transfer money into a personal account because I needed the company’s official account details.

This is a serious reminder to business owners: please be careful and ensure that payments meant for your business go directly into your official company account.

Also, to everyone patronising BELLEFOOD, whether you’re buying food, groceries or anything else from us, please make sure you confirm our official account details before making any payment.

I will be dropping our account number below. This is the ONLY account authorised to receive payments on behalf of BELLEFOOD.

Please don’t transfer money into any other account

Today was rough, but if not for volunteers it could have been worse. Here also are some helpful tips from @sela.rrn.

One month since I quit Taekwon-Do.

I thought I’d be itching to train by now. Honestly, I’m still tired.

I stepped away because the environment had stopped feeling safe for me, mentally and physically. I was burnt out, and I needed space to work out what my relationship with Taekwon-Do and the Taekwon-Do community could look like again.

I’ve slept a lot. The stress and ostracism is still there, and I haven’t found the energy or desire to return to my own training yet. After nearly 30 years, that feels strange.

But alongside that, I’ve enjoyed having spare time again. Reading, being creative, exploring ideas and spending time with people without always being the person organising everything.

And I’ve realised how much my WMA community has my back. When you’re used to being the coach and supporting everyone else, receiving that support yourself means a great deal.

I’m still struggling with some of it. I’m also enjoying parts of life I hadn’t made enough room for.

There’s no return date to announce. For now, I’m grateful for that room—and for the people helping me feel more like myself.
