Sometime earlier this year, my cousin @_wawieli_ lost a dear long time companion in her furry friend Socks. She took a break for a little while, and even I was sad... I understand the feeling of losing animal companions, especially long lived ones that lived long enough to see old age.

Inspired and filled with emotions, I wanted to take advantage of my Printmaking 1 class assignments to make a tribute to Socks. I tried to make her in the style I was fiddling with at the time... though the result wasn't bad, it could definitely be improved upon. Originally made with Ink, I added on top Acrylics to save time. With a golden moon behind her to give an ethereal feeling to say she will always be watching- even from afar. I also added red lotuses to signify compassion and divine love.
