Day 5: Skandamata - Nurturing ✨ Nurturing yourself doesn’t have to mean following a perfect diet or giving up everything you love. Sometimes, it simply means finding better ways to take care of yourself. For Day 5 of Navratri, I collaborated with @fit.khurana a certified nutrition and fitness coach, to explore what nurturing can look like through food and everyday choices. Instead of cutting out the foods we love, we’re showing how you can β€œhealthify” them by adding more protein, nutrients and wholesome ingredients to make them more balanced, while still keeping them enjoyable.🫢🌿 Recipe ⬇️ (Makes 6 Tikkis | ~100 Cals | ~6g Protein per Tikki) Ingredients πŸ₯” 150g steamed sweet potato 🌱 80g raw sabudana πŸ§€ 100g low fat paneer 🌢️ 1 green chilli, finely chopped πŸ₯œ 5 to 6 peanuts, crushed βšͺ Β½ tsp sesame seeds 🌿 Β½ tsp cumin powder 🌢️ Β½ tsp red chilli powder πŸ§‚ Sendha namak as per taste 🌿 Fresh coriander, chopped πŸ«’ A little oil for brushing For the Green Chutney πŸ₯œ 1 tbsp peanuts 🌿 1 handful fresh coriander 🌿 1 handful fresh mint 🌢️ 1 green chilli πŸ₯› 100g Greek yogurt πŸ§‚ Sendha namak as per taste How to Mak 1- Rinse 100g dry sabudana 2 to 3 times, soak in enough water for 4 to 6 hours until soft, then drain thoroughly in a strainer for 10 to 15 minutes. 2- Steam, peel and mash the sweet potato. Mix with the soaked sabudana, crumbled paneer, green chilli, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, cumin powder, red chilli powder, sendha namak and coriander. 3- Mash everything together and shape into 6 equal tikkis. 4- Lightly brush with oil and air fry at 180Β°C for 20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. 5- Blend the peanuts, coriander, mint, green chilli, Greek yogurt and sendha namak to make the green chutney. 6- Serve the hot and crispy sabudana tikkis with the green yogurt chutney.
