Attorneys for three of Nolan Wells’ friends are pushing back against claims that Snapchat messages were deleted from the teen’s phone before it was returned to his family. Edward Andrew Paltzik, who represents Jax Pitalo, Warren Hudson and Morgan Seymour, denied that his clients ever accessed the device. “Warren, Jax and Morgan did not erase anything and never had access to his phone. If anything was erased, they didn’t do it.” Attorney Tyler Cox also detailed how Nolan’s phone was reportedly handled after it was left on the boat. “A girl from the group got all the phones left in the boat (which included Nolan’s) and put them in Wyatt’s truck, and it stayed there until Christine’s friend came over to get Nolan’s phone. The same girl in the group retrieved the phone from the truck and gave it to Christine’s friend around 1:30 AM.” The denials come after forensic examiner Andrew Garrett, working with the Wells family’s independent investigation, claimed messages were deleted between Nolan’s last use of the phone and its return to his family. Cox maintains the “people on the boat did not erase anything.” Paltzik has also challenged attorney Ben Crump over access to the device, saying, “Ben keeps calling for transparency, yet they refuse to give the biggest evidence — his phone — to the D.A.” Crump says phone data was provided to the district attorney. After Crump also raised questions about conversations involving r@cism in a group chat, Paltzik responded, “When they say the friends had conversations about r@cism, what friends are they talking about? This is vague nonsense. What is he talking about?” Paltzik says his legal team intends to sue Crump for defamation.

To my teenage self… you just would NOT believe this. 😭 Yesterday, we went to the VMAs. Like… THE VMAs. The ones we used to watch religiously, studying every performance, every outfit, every little detail, dreaming about what it would feel like to one day be on that red carpet. You would not believe that we got to see Madonna perform. You would not believe that we woke up to seeing ourselves on Teen Vogue’s Best Dressed list our FAVORITE magazine growing up. (thank you @teenvogue) You would not believe that the little girl who spent so many nights watching these moments on TV would one day get to live one of them. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Some dreams really do take you right back to the girl who dreamed them first. 🤍 Thank you @bacardi for the opportunity to live one of my biggest childhood dreams I LOVE YOU.
