Part 1. Some journeys are about so much more than the destination. ❤️

Three head surgeries. Three tumors removed. Radiation. Loss of facial bone. And changes to my face that I never could have prepared myself for.

After everything my body had been through, my face had dropped to the point where you could no longer see my teeth when I smiled. And while I was beyond grateful to be alive and healthy, there was still a part of me that I missed.

For years, I fought to get my health back. This time, I was getting on a plane to get a little piece of me back.

So come travel with me from Florida to Utah for a journey that means more to me than I could ever put into words.

Because sometimes healing isn’t just about surviving what happened to you. Sometimes it’s about finally feeling like yourself again.

This wasn’t just about my teeth. It was about closing a chapter that took so much from me and stepping into a new one with a smile I thought I had lost forever.

And for the first time in a very long time, this trip wasn’t about another surgery to remove a tumor or another round of radiation.

It was about getting something back instead of having something taken away. ❤️

I will forever be grateful to @drjordandavis_ at @lucaaesthetic_ for taking me on, believing in what was possible, and blessing me with a smile that has truly changed my life forever. He didn’t just give me beautiful teeth. He gave me back the carefree smile of the little girl I once was, only now it belongs to a woman who has fought battles that little girl could never have imagined she would.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of all is that after everything I’ve been through, I finally get to smile like that little girl again. ❤️

Stay tuned for part 2 of my journey. And for the 10 people that may have watched the entire video….ans read down to the bottom….I truly hope that my story can inspire just ONE of you that may be going through a hard time or wondering when life gets better. It does ♥️ Love ya’ll.

“For years now, pop music has been suffused with a vague, or coded, malaise,” Amanda Petrusich writes. “It’s increasingly evident that everyone feels dread and anxiety about the apparent grimness of the world, though they stop short from saying too much about the particulars..” For Fontaines D.C., a young and brainy rock band from Dublin, with post-punk, New Wave, and electronica influences, private existential terror takes center stage. On their fifth album, “Dopamine Chamber,” the quintet wrestles with how to seek pleasure while remaining hyperaware of the devastations of the world. Their “particular pairing—viciousness and smarts—feels scarce these days, when the world’s most powerful institutions seem to prefer that we be anodyne and dumb,” Petrusich writes.
