A table devoted to my love of wicker, rattan, and all things woven! For @kappatablescapes, I wanted to make something special, with the beautiful @degournay chargers from the Bunny Mellon collection for @oakspringsfoundation as my jumping-off point.

The tablecloth is @quadrille fabric in two colorways, laboriously sliced, diced, and pieced together to my very explicit instructions, with matching covers for bamboo folding chairs from @amazon.

When I worked for @charmossny at her wonderful townhouse store, she designed the most sublime wicker flatware made in Paris. I have never forgotten it, and begged her to let me borrow hers for this table. Such a treat to set the places with something I have loved for so many years.

Glasses from @cabanacapri, @aerin, and @rebeccaudallhome join individual bread baskets from @maisondior, with linen liners by @juliabhandmadeforlife. @lindrothamanda’s brilliant salt and pepper shakers begin the procession at the middle: wicker from @latuileauloup, wicker-shaded lamps from @housesandparties, 18th-century Russian silver vessels from my collection, and 19th-century woven English silver baskets I have gathered over the years. Apparently, I have been preparing for this table for quite some time!

Sunday’s grocery trip yielded green figs, miniature zucchini, golden grapes, baby artichokes, and the most magical tiny pattypan squash. Then a quick visit to the Dallas wholesale florist yesterday morning supplied geranium leaves, yellow cosmos, chamomile, and artichokes on glorious 24-inch stems. I loved bringing the garden to the table in so many forms.

I even convinced @lauralinescalligraphy to create wicker-inspired calligraphy! And crowning the whole affair: a handmade bamboo and wicker umbrella made for me by my genius man-of-all-trades, Patrick. Seeing it all come together beneath that umbrella was an enormous joy.

So many hands, so many baskets, and so many favorite things brought together for one table. What a pleasure to be part of this wonderful event, now in its 31st year, and to celebrate all this creativity in support of such an amazing cause.

Can you guess all 14 of these movie costumes?
First few are easy, then it gets hard… (like a couple seconds of screen time on one of them.)

If you’re new around here, I made all these myself. I’ve shared the sewing process of most of these looks on my YouTube channel. Plus, there’s sewing patterns available for some! You know where to go. :)

FER WITH THE EQUALISER! 🎯

I did that and so can you!
No more excuses💪🏼 comment “RESET” to sign up for the waiting list and we will start Nov 9th together 🫂🫶🏼🙂‍↕️

Some days are meant for collecting your own thoughts, not the world’s opinions.
Unplugging from the excess, tuning into the subtle heartbeat of my own inner world.
Here, in my quiet sanctuary, I find my balance again. Rooted, calm, and entirely at peace with my own presence. ✨🌱
