The story of Ali’s and I friendship is cute in how we ended up here, in each other’s lives, and the bond we share although we’ve spent very little time together. I was going through my archives and realized we created this a year to the T before C*vid hit…the date was 3.21.2019 under a full moon. We created just to create. Just cuz I went to visit her n we wanted to play. She’s a creative powerhouse, n well, I love to get down n dirtyyyy. I ended up calling some of the sets ‘plastic humans’. The symbolism is kinda wild to me now, in retrospect. The fire, as the world literally burned a year later. The hand on her neck…choking her…when…we all remember what we saw from the police right in the mist of the PLANd*mic, the jewels on her third eye…the half eaten apple!!!! Lol….the plastic wrapped around their faces…the burning flowers….the colors we chose. None of this was planned. Ali has performed with fire for some time now. We didn’t think of ‘concepts’…we just did what we did cuz it’s what we love. Yet, somehow, it’s like we tapped into the future and channeled all these events…when we thought we were just playing. The personal journeys, and transformations, the three of us have gone through since then. A full rebirth. A full break down and shattering of everything we thought was real…Phoenix rising from the ashes…
