TW / eating disorders, self image etc.
feels kinda weird to post this but with the holidays and winter in general coming up this has been on my mind and i just felt called to talk about it. winter has always been a hard time for me throughout my ed/recovery and its a time where i notice a lot more people talking about food, their bodies, etc and i would never want someone to fall into the position ive been in. i think awareness is important in preventing us from getting into dangerous situations and i just wanted to speak on this a bit, mainly for anyone who might not even realize what certain thoughts/behaviors could eventually lead to but also for the people who are deeper into it. to anyone struggling, i see you and im right here with you. its a tough battle to fight but it will be 1000% worth it in the end. i send you nothing but love, truly, and im always here if you need someone to talk to. while isolating yourself might sound like the best thing to do, sometimes that can make it much heavier than it needs to be.

Thank you for sharing. This is so needed! Often people struggle in silence so it’s good to know someone else has had an issue and is strong enough to share with the world so that others may us your transparency as a beacon of hope! You are amazing! 🫶🏾

Thank you for sharing @mckeeteah. I will share your posts in the hopes that it helps someone get ahead of their unhealthy relationship with food and know they are not alone. Thank you for your bravery. I posted something earlier with myself recognizing my own personal weight gain. I showed my body because I didn't want to feel ashamed about it and I posted #nodiet, #healthylifestyle because I felt it was important for people to know, that I wouldn't be going on a crash diet to lose the weight. I will adjust by focused decisions on my intake and increase my level of exercise and rest. I didn't want to body shame anyone in my position, not even myself. I appreciate you putting your voice to your thoughts and sharing your journey. I'm certain it will help somebody. I love Niecy.
