This week on the #NakedBeautyPodcast, I sat down with the Emmy Award winning costume designer and celebrity stylist to talk about her journey from interning in the fashion closet at W Magazine to creating some of the most iconic looks in pop culture.

We get into the artistry behind Beyoncé’s Black Is King, the realities of making a living as a celebrity stylist, and how her relationship with personal style has evolved in her 40s. Zerina also shares her approach to building a wardrobe that lasts, the beauty lessons passed down from her Panamanian grandmother, and the wellness rituals that keep her grounded.

From navigating an ever evolving industry to finding confidence in your own style, this conversation is full of gems on creativity, beauty, and staying true to yourself.

“Emmy Award Winning Stylist Zerina Akers on 40+ Skincare and Starting Over” is out now wherever you listen to podcasts! Watch the full conversation on the Naked Beauty YouTube channel.

Hi, Sawyer & Antonio here! 👋🏼🤍

We’ve got some new faces around here, so we thought it was time for a little reintroduction and a big THANK YOU for following along on our crazy, fun, love-filled adventure!

Our story started back in 2023 when we met online, and we’ve pretty much been talking ever since. A little over a year ago, we started spending more time together, and well.. now we’re basically inseparable.

We still live in different cities, which means lots of flights, packed bags, airport hugs, and some pretty hard goodbyes. But we rarely go more than a few days apart, and almost every weekend is another adventure together. Is it always easy? Nope. Is it worth every single mile? A MILLION TIMES YES.

Doing life with Tony has been one of the greatest joys of my life. If you know him, you love him. He has the biggest heart and somehow manages to keep up with all my crazy ideas, spontaneous plans, and never-ending adventures. He’s my biggest supporter, my favorite travel buddy, and makes even the ordinary days worth remembering. Life is just a whole lot more fun with him in it.

And to all of YOU.. thank you! What started as us sharing little pieces of our lives has turned into this sweet corner of the internet filled with so much kindness, encouragement, and love. The world can feel pretty negative sometimes, but you’ve reminded us just how many genuinely GOOD people are out there. We feel it, and we never take it for granted.

Around here, we don’t really have rules for posting. 😂 Consider this our very public, slightly chaotic scrapbook of life. You can usually find us somewhere between the lake in Oregon, the mountains of Utah, the sunshine in California, or the streets of New York. Always on the move, usually with a suitcase half-packed, and finding our next adventure. Expect travels, projects, celebrations, everyday moments, and probably way too many pictures of each other. If that’s not your thing, no hard feelings.. keep on scrolling! But if you’re sticking around, we promise to always find a reason to celebrate and have a good time. 🫶🏼

took a chance on a new beginning and found something special :) #statechamps
