Selma Blair was arrested following allegations that she punched a flight attendant and bit another crew member aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Cruel Intentions’ actress, 54, reportedly had to be restrained by the crew. In air traffic control audio, the pilot requested medical personnel and said Blair appeared to have struck her head against the plane’s bulkhead. Two flight attendants reported injuries, and one was taken to the hospital.

Police met the flight at JFK, and Blair was transported to a hospital for evaluation. According to reports citing law enforcement sources, she also allegedly kicked a police officer during the ambulance ride and assaulted a nurse at the hospital. She faces two state assault counts related to those alleged incidents, and the FBI issued a federal summons over the alleged onboard assaults.

“Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition,” Blair’s attorney said. The attorney did not specify the nature of the emergency.
