Yesterday was my birthday, and to be honest I didn’t plan to take photos nor post about it. I didn’t see the importance of celebrating my birthday, and in a way felt that it wasn’t worthy of being known. However with chapter 22 of my life now closed, and with the words from my beautiful family and friends, I’ve realized that it is worth celebrating.
In this year alone I’ve accomplished things I never thought I was ever capable of. I’ve grown closer with those around me and with God. Most importantly, I have grown closer with myself. I’ve made mistakes, made bad choices but I’m learning from them. I’ve travelled to another country, got to capture beautiful weddings and portraits more than I ever have in my photography career, and so much more.
As the notorious song goes, “Everyday above ground is a blessing”.
Thank you chapter 22, for the good and the bad. The lessons and the blessings.
