Quick question… 👀 Do you apply your curly hair products UPSIDE DOWN? 🙃 Every time I share a video like this, you guys cannot handle it! 😂 But hear me out! If you apply your products upside down and LOVE your results, keep doing your thing! 👏🏼 BUT… if you’re applying upside down and wondering: 〰️ Why is the underneath of my hair always curlier than the top? 〰️ Why is the top of my hair so FLAT? 〰️ Why are my curls underneath shiny and defined, but the top looks frizzy or dull? Then you NEED to pay attention to this video! 👀 And let me remind you of something… You don’t have to feel bad for not understanding your hair. Nobody taught you! But guess what? I CAN! ❤️ I talk about my Cultivating Your Curl Confidence course a lot, you guys, because I genuinely believe understanding the HOW, WHY, and WHEN behind your products and techniques changes EVERYTHING. It’s not always about buying more products. Sometimes it’s about understanding how to use what you already have! This course gives you the FOUNDATION to stop guessing and start understanding your curls. ✨ Ready to cultivate your curl confidence? Grand Prairie ISD canceled an upcoming high school play over fears that a girl playing the lead role — which is a male character — would violate Texas law. But which Texas law it violates has become a matter of dispute. The district says it’s just complying with Texas Senate Bill 12. Here’s where things get complicated: There are two laws known as Senate Bill 12 that address schools. Mota and her mother believe the play was being removed for the 2023 version of SB 12, which bans sexually oriented performances on public property or in a space where minors are expected to be. It’s commonly been interpreted as a ban on drag performances. A federal judge ruled in August that law is unconstitutional and violates the first amendment for being overly broad. Attorney General Ken Paxton was permanently barred from enforcing the law, although he has appealed that order. But a spokesperson for the district told KERA it was actually complying with the 2025 version of SB 12 — a separate bill that limits LGBTQ+ student clubs and diversity hiring.
