Avalon | Perth Story-led Photographer

I was trying to understand why I enjoyed photographing Amy and her family so much and I was just putting it down to the fact that she’s one of my good friends, but then I dug a little deeper and started to realise that with them, I will spend the day with them, follow them around their home while they get ready, doing every day things, spending quality time with them just chatting about life. It’s slow, intimate and just real. Nothing staged, they are doing things that they would do on a daily basis and I was just there to capture it in my own way.

I think I want to focus on doing more of these kinds of shoots. I want to get to know the people infront of my lens, I want to know your story and I want to tell your story in the photos that I deliver to you. This is more than just a quick, 45 min- 1 hour shoot restriction and wham bam lets get out of here!! It’s deeper than that and having photos done that feel like you is what most people wish for right?
