There are several things wrong with this ideology. First, you’re framing dating women as a burden because of gender expectations. Instead of simply acknowledging your sexuality, you’re suggesting that women are so difficult to deal with that you decided to become a gay bottom. Once again, women are being blamed for men’s choices and identities. Secondly, saying you’re β€œforcing” yourself to be with men to avoid traditional gender roles is INSANE. It’s also incredibly problematic to frame sexuality as something you can force yourself into based on which gender is easier to deal with. Sexual attraction isn’t something you manufacture out of frustration with women. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? And guess what? Gay Men aren’t an escape route from accountability or relationship expectations. Those men aren’t going to want to deal with that mentality either. You need to be by yourself. YOU NEED TO BE BY YOURSELF.
