#WhiskeyFamily, it’s about that time again! We’re kicking off 2024 with one of our FAVORITE and most significant annual programs: the Uncle Nearest #HBCUChallenge, featuring our most popular cocktail, The Old Fashioned! 🥃🔥

Thanks to the participation of 3,500 bars, restaurants, retail stores, Uncle Nearest’s matching donation, and YOU 🫵🏽, we are able to give nearly $1,000,000 to HBCUs across the nation, covering 79 SCHOLARSHIPS! 🥳🎉

Just in case you’re not familiar, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are remarkable institutions that have faced chronic underfunding to the tune of $13 billion. But they have met this challenge head-on by driving degree attainment and economic mobility, particularly for students from low-income backgrounds.

They produce:
- 50% of Black doctors and Black attorneys
- 40% of Black Engineers and Black members of Congress
- 80% of Black Judges

And let’s not forget, HBCUs are not exclusive. In fact, 25% of all graduates are not Black. HBCUs are extraordinary American institutions making our country stronger, in every community. 🤚🏻🤚🏼🤚🏽🤚🏾🤚

So since we STAY COMMITTED to surpassing goals and shattering records, this year we’re upping the ante to $1.4 Million, which will enable us to provide ONE FULL in-state tuition scholarship to EVERY ACCREDITED HBCU NATIONWIDE! 🙌🏽 This is an ambitious goal, but our Whiskey village is tight! 👊🏽💯

The Challenge will run from January 15th, in honor of MLK Jr. Day (we trust y’all know MLK Jr. was a Morehouse Man! 💪🏽) to June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth—To find out how you can help, click the link in the profile. 📋‼
