The first performance at @jacobspillow with @yagp was phenomenal. “Fresh Voices in Dance” celebrated such talented dancers and captivating new choreography in the most magical place. The link for Saturday’s live steamed shows at 2 pm EST and 7:30 pm EST is below and in @sylviewin ‘s story. https://stream.jacobspillow.org/yagp?fbclid=PAZnRzaAVAjPhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBwZG9mAmZkaWQWUQd3sAGVu2QJE2YWFSI9fNjJZjIoZnNydGMGYXBwX2lkDzEyNDAyNDU3NDI4NzQxNAABp_STvrxp7Y-jHpEpFoYScKLvs7Q6lFr0A4yJMOgn-942K1GqO0EZaynYRyUj_aem_m20mUYwHnD5-ueeiclTc_w Thank you to #yagp and Miss Larissa for giving Sylvie Win this opportunity- what a week of classes, rehearsals, and choreography. For a young dancer who so loves learning her art, being challenged, and growing, this is a dream. These are the experiences that have a huge impact on a young dancer’s journey. Sylvie Win’s growth alone and appreciation for all those around her have grown in these days. We are very grateful. The people and organizations that will invest in young artists and truly help them develop can be rare to find. We feel very fortunate. Thank you to @izzy.howard for the new contemporary piece, Je t’ai vue. Thank you to Sylvie Win’s home school of @masterballetacademy ; thank you especially Mr. Slawomir, @irenawozniak , @slawek_wozniak , and @felliperamos_c . Thank you for the constant care and help from @thecatherinepiper . Thank you to @kylan_wright , the best kind of mentor. Thank you to @nikolayworld for all the practice shoes and dance wear. Thank you @littlecorgi_studio for the incredible stage shots. #dance #ballet #fall #choreography

Ten days on hunger strike. Ten days of putting their bodies and their futures on the line, simply for the right to be heard. Today, I stood with the students of JNU, a university that has taught generations of young Indians that questioning power is not a crime, but a responsibility. You can rusticate a student, but how do you rusticate a question? You can barricade a campus, but how do you barricade an idea? There is a reason those in power fear places like JNU. Because some generations refuse to inherit silence. To every student fighting for dignity, democracy and justice, your struggle is ours too. JNU has never learnt to bow. And may it never have to. #LivesInsideUs #ManahJeungGetihna
