In October someone put this sign up at one of the volunteer sites along the border. It’s still there through all the wind and rain and months. Taped up on the US property sign it says No Serás olvidado “you will not be forgotten” pretty much says it all. There’s been hundreds of people involved in this effort and they’ve fed thousands for months now. It seems simple to me that if someone is hungry you feed them, but it’s controversial somehow. I guess we’ve lost most of our humanity. But signs like this remind us there are lots of good humans who see community care as the first response. #oilpainting #artist #artistactivist #craft
