The setting couldn’t get any prettier, the ice cream any yummier and the kids any calmer. There’s all the proof you need - Lavender truly works 😉

Make time for a trip to Bridestowe Lavender Farm when you’re next in Tasmania, but do keep the following in mind!

🪻CHOOSE the right time to go. Our photos are from 2 January 2024. Fast-forward to 3 weeks now and the flowers aren’t close to this bright purple! Always check the farm’s Instagram account to know what to expect on your visit.

🪻CARRY a major sweet tooth. You have to try the Lavender jam with scones of course, but don’t even think about leaving without a delicious cone(each!) of Lavender ice cream! Savouries such as pies and sandwiches are sold at the cafe too.

🪻HOW to get here. If you are visiting Launceston in Tasmania, the farm makes for a fab day trip. Tickets are sold both online and at the gate and you definitely need a car to get here. We went during peak season and while the cafe was extremely busy with huge queues, the farm is pretty spread out with ample clear views for everyone. Top tip - you can skip the cafe queue and get ice cream from the truck outside. Also, parking and loos aplenty!
