Here are some of the lunches I pack my 2 preschoolers! 🍱🍓 We eat pretty much the same foods for all of our meals (protein, fats, fibers-carbs) - so a lot of these foods are leftovers OR they take 1 minute to “prepare” (e.g. beans straight from the can, plain yogurt straight from the tub) You can comment SCHOOL LUNCH and I’ll send you this lunchbox tin and the other lunch items I use. If you have preschoolers or school-aged kids I’d love to know what you pack too, let me know in the comments! 👇 My main takeaway I hope you get from these lunches is that they’re very, very SIMPLE! Under 10 minutes each to prep for sure. What I care most about is including: - PROTEIN - eggs, burger pieces, salmon, leftover crockpot steak, yogurt 🥩 - FAT (for key nutrients and added calories) - olive oil, ghee, cheese, full fat yogurt 🫒 - HIGHER FIBER CARBS - peas, berries, beans, potatoes 🫘 And to answer a few common questions! 1. I add ice packs to their lunchboxes, and they eat their lunches cold (there is no option to heat it up) 2. They don’t always eat 100% of their lunches - and that’s ok! I don’t comment at all on the amounts they eat. I let them trust their bodies. 3. Her class is nut-free - which is why there’s no nuts there 4. “Why don’t you pack more carbs?!” There’s carbs in each of those lunches 🫘🫛🥔 and the snacks they get throughout the day at preschool are solely carbs - rice Chex, veggie “straws,” graham crackers, etc. #lunchbox
