Welcoming my new followers and reintroducing myself as your favorite momprenuer, podcast host, social media manager and spiritual guru ✨
@stopyellingpodcast is a show but also a community for the creatives, the visionaries, the mommies and daddies, and mostly those who can consider themselves being resilient.
Emphasis on resilience. What does that mean?
Resilience is being able to cope with change and/or recover from setbacks. Not allowing a leak to turn into a flood.
💡This is an important life hack so let’s break it down:
A resilient person has the ability to regulate their emotions,
has a sense of confidence and internal locus of control,
great coping skills, can count on social support when needed. (Not many of us do all of these)
Resilience comes in 4 ways: physical, mental, emotional, and social.
I want to stop on Social really quickly and say that having social resilience means that you have a community of people around you that have suffered the same things you have, relates to your experiences and traumas, or even has a similar mindset/values as you.
Regardless, it’s people who you can come to for support without judgment.
When I was thinking about what Stop Yelling was going to be I thought, okay, well of course I want to share my stories on what I’ve screwed up on, and things i’ve learned along the way in this thing called life, create a space for people to not let their mistakes define them, to let go of criticism, blahblahblah… so many things; but overall, I’m taking this opportunity to really create a community of resilient people. people who give a shit about the little things in life, but don’t look at it too seriously, don’t judge ourselves so much, be that support system for yourself that you know you want to have. Judge-Free. Life is meant to be lived, live and let others live. Stop being so hard on yourself for things that are out of your control, focus on the things you can control, and create your own narrative. View yourself as a fighter, not a victim to circumstance. Those are the people I want to surround myself with as I continue to elevate and grow as an individual. grow individually to grow collectively. 🤍
