“Attended a powerful workshop last week in Rome organized by Y-ACT project and AMREF, focused on addressing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The event took place at the historic Protomoteca Hall of the Municipality of Rome, highlighting the urgency of this issue and the commitment of the local government to taking action.
As a participant, I had the opportunity to learn from experts, engage in meaningful dialogue, and join the global effort to end FGM. This experience has deepened my understanding of the impact of FGM and the importance of collective action to promote gender equality, human rights, and improved health outcomes for girls and women. Let’s continue to raise awareness and work towards a future where FGM is a thing of the past.”
