GRAMMY WEEK PART 3:
Yes, it’s going to take all month for me to share this joy with you.
THE PEOPLE, THE HEROES, THE MASTERS OF OUR CRAFT.
Meeting them and seeing them be honored by the @recordingacademy is a #dreamcometrue

Some highlights included:
I definitely cried when I met @laurieandersonofficial , as you can see. I never thought I’d see a genre-bending #violinist being given the Lifetime Achievement award.

I tried all night to find @msgladysknight to ask her about the strings in “I Don’t Wanna Do Wrong,” but didn’t catch her. I had fun searching and meeting other beautiful humans along the way, like @alemormusic and @wizzmer

I sat and talked with @officialdjkoolherc for a while, and told him how I taught my son about his contributions to #hiphop and #rap and to our craft at large.

I saw my fellow @eastman.school alum @benwendel and was so proud to see his art being recognized.

Spending time with the people in these photos, meeting some of my actual heroes, was just incredible. I feel so fortunate to be part of this organization and have this opportunity.
