Did you ever smell a true vanilla?
Most of us smells on a daily basis synthetic vanillin, you know that sweet one that reminds so much childhood memories (for me at least) or the last cupcake you ate?

Well the new Ormonde Jayne smells like the vanilla out of the pod, the ones that has a tiny animalic smell and a little more character and just so little sweetness, that’s my favourite ones personally.
Yes it is more expensive but it’s simply explained by the ingredients picked by hands and taking 9months to fully develop into the ones you’ll smell in your fragrance.

Smells sophisticated, alluring, not the vanilla that will intoxicate all your friends but the one to give you attitude for formal occasions.
Love it and it feels buttery with the addition of Orris ( Iris roots) that add powdery notes and density to the scent.

I spent a very special moment with Linda Pilkington, fonder of Ormonde Jayne in the new boutique 16 Royal Arcade in London.
Such an elegant and really qualitative British brand. It’s one of my go-to when I need to feel credible. I think it’s time I do a full review on that brand and there’s so much to unveil!
