What do we do when GOD presents us with an old problem, but expects us to handle it a new way?

When the old way got results,
it’s easy to return to what’s familiar.
Even when GOD is calling us to grow.

In Exodus, GOD told Moses to strike the rock.
In Numbers, He told him to speak to it

Same need.(water), familiar environment (wilderness), same peoples (Israelites),But Different instruction.

But in Numbers , Moses had walked with GOD longer.
Led His people longer,Experienced His presence deeper, been more intimate with GOD, than he’d been in exodus

This scenario, made me look at myself.
After everything GOD has brought me through, am I still letting frustration decide how I respond at times… I’m being placed in familiar predicaments, where GOD may want me to be more empathetic and graceful(because we have talked and been more intimate), and I’m still letting the residue of the old champion.

I know what it feels like to let frustration speak louder than what I know is right.

What if the wilderness was also a place for Moses to grow?
To confront what still lived in him.
To move beyond the ways that could no longer carry him forward.

So GOD placed another rock,Another thirsty crowd.
Another moment of pressure.

GOD said speak,Moses struck!

And reading that, I saw me…. It resonated!

How often does the residue of my past
show up in my present
and interfere with my future?

The water still flowed.
The people still drank.

But Moses’ disobedience cost him the opportunity to lead them into the Promised Land.

That’s what challenged me,because ,Getting results doesn’t always mean I followed the instruction.

Sometimes, I can accomplish what I set out to do
and still mishandle who GOD is calling me to become.

This is a personal reflection, not a claim that im a preacher or master of Scripture 🙏🏽

In this season I often Ask,GOD, where am I using an old response, when You’ve given me a new instruction?

Because I don’t want my familiar, to cost me the Future!

Thank you to my brother @mikephillipsofficial & my mentor @bishopjakes for letting me speak at GOOD SOIL this year🙏🏽

Porsche ”Mission S” design DNA in wagon form is for me making more sense, I know a lot will disagree but I don’t feel the sporty raw driver focused Porsche in the current Mission S. I see it more as a Grand Tourer then anything. This is what I think Porsche shall be doing instead, a M5/RS6 type of car that is not an Taycan or a Panamera… driver focused high revving wagons are the way forward🤌👌

What you think?
