It was December 2019.

My heartburn, chest pain, and throat burn from constant acid reflux were at their worst.

Then one day… sudden difficulty breathing, sharp chest pain, and pain down my left arm.

I thought it was a heart attack.

I rushed to the ER. They did all the tests, blood work, ECG… and told me it was a panic attack mixed with a bad reflux episode.

By then I’d already been suffering for years.

I just kept managing symptoms with PPIs and antacids.

I knew enough about nutrition, had seen multiple dietitians… but never applied anything properly.

That night, I knew I had to finally change.

So I did.

Fast forward to 2026…

I’m fully recovered, and honestly fitter and healthier than most people around me.

I can drink coffee, eat spicy food, function on less sleep when needed, and run a stressful biz without reflux running my life.

A client asked me recently what helped the most.

I thought about it properly and wrote this down so anyone can use it.

These are the 5 things I repeatedly recommend to people dealing with heartburn, chest pain, throat burn, and night reflux.

No. 5 matters the most.

1: Create a gap before sleep that leaves you slightly hungry.
If you sleep at 11 pm, figure out a dinner time around 7–8 pm that leaves you just a little hungry before bed. Not full, not starving. Just enough. Sip water after, don’t gulp.

2: Take magnesium glycinate about 1 hour before bed.
This helps replenish magnesium, supports muscle relaxation, calms the nervous system, and helps with sleep. All of that matters when reflux is worse at night.

3: Add alginates + L-theanine (up to 200 mg) or melatonin (up to 3 mg) 10 mins before bed.
You can use RefluxRaft (Midnight Berry already has a little melatonin) or use Gaviscon / InstaRaft.

4: Stay off your phone. Avoid conflict.
No arguments, no stressful texts, nothing that spikes emotions too much. Reading is fine. Light content is fine. Just avoid anything that makes your brain spiral.

🤍 and Share this so it reaches someone who needs it.

Running out of words here. I will mention the 5th one in the pinned comment!

Who that girl? - off course @tatuazh_by_dmitrieva_kiev
Самая сильная страна , самая сильная команда мира, самый сильный организатор ! 🫂👌

Jews on therapy, comedy, and war. Some food for thought before Shabbat.

Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten raised a Palestinian flag during the band’s concert at Lisbon’s MEO Arena on October 21, wrapping himself in it while performing “Where Is Gone?”

He also wore a keffiyeh given to him by the crowd and said “Free Palestine,” according to Portuguese media outlet NiT.

see you next year!

my former podcast cohost turned into one of my biggest ops over israel and has been ruining his life for the last 3 years. turns out there’s more to his narcissistic tyranny. a chapter is now closing. judge me by my enemies.
