October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿฆ‹ When this month and day of year comes around, those who have experienced this kind of loss are always on my mind. I know that your angel babies are constantly on your mind and heart. I know that you ache to hold them and kiss them and rock them to sleep. I also know that nothing I do or say can help the pain you are experiencing. It is simply my hope that these paintings can help you feel seen and help you feel your angel babyโ€™s love surrounding you. May you feel their warmth and their love in the breeze. May you feel their spirits in the forget me nots, butterflies and dragonflies. When words fail, I will always paint for you. Today, I hope you feel extra supported, seen, and loved. May the love of your angel babies and the love of our Savior fill your hearts and lift you up. The colors of the pregnancy and infant loss ribbon are pink and blue - you will see a lot of pink and blue in the clothing and forget me not flowers of these paintings ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ’• Painting titles: 1-2. Among The Forget Me Nots 3-6. I Know He Holds You Among The Stars 7. Among The Angels 8-11. Iโ€™ll Meet You Among The Forget Me Nots 12. In His Arms 13. Waiting On My Miracle 14. In His Tender Care 15. He Holds Each Angel Baby 16-17. For Safekeeping 18. Safe With You 19-20. A Heavenly Messenger
I have felt immense sadness and immense pride especially the last few days. But this post, goes beyond that. I wanted to post about him here, because it is important now more than ever in todayโ€™s zeitgeist, to be inspired by his bravery, to act on when we think someone needs us, make ourselves slightly uncomfortable if need be, to be open to hearing other peopleโ€™s opinions, to listen to different sides with grace, to let go of pettiness, to have fun with your whole heart. To rage when you need to, be gentle when you need to. To not take yourself so seriously, while also being serious when it mattered. I hope you take a minute to read up on this incredible man, what he wrote and what he read, what we think today, he was talking the talk and walking the walk year ago.
