Wat een stad! Zoveel contrasten, van de gekte en drukte met veel lichtjes en geluiden naar hele stille straatjes met kleine winkeltjes en koffie barretjes. Geweldig! #japan #japantravelphoto #tokyo #familyholiday #fyp

I’ve returned to Gilead again and again over the years because of the way Marilynne Robinson finds meaning in the seemingly ordinary moments of our lives.

For A Great Book, my friend @TomHanks joined me to revisit the novel and talk about faith, fatherhood, mortality, and what it means to slow down and appreciate the time we have with the people we love.

I hope you’ll listen to our full conversation on A Great Book with Barack Obama, a new podcast from @Audible and @HigherGroundMedia.

The Rota do Lagarto (Lizard Route) is a small, paved tourist road, 8 km long, that circles Pedra Azul.🏔🦎
The “Pedra Azul” (Blue Stone) landmark is a granite formation rising 1,822 meters in altitude. The rocky mountain takes on bluish and greenish hues depending on the movement of sunlight.🏔🩵☀️
Right next to Pedra Azul is Pedra do Lagarto (Lizard Stone); it bears this name because it truly looks like a lizard climbing up Pedra Azul.🏔🦎
When I arrived, the "Lizard" was hidden by the fog, but it gradually emerged—much to my delight, as I could see it and share it with you all here! (Swipe left)☁️🏔🦎🩵
