Utila is an island unlike any other. There are no resorts, no cruise ships that come in and out, no fancy restaurants and youβre lucky to find a bathroom with running water π€ͺ But, itβs an experience youβll never forget and one of those places that make you look at life a little differently!
Utila is one of the Honduras Bay Islands. You can get there from Roatan in about an hour by ferry, but there is only one each day so plan on staying the night (or two).
The reef is the main attraction on Utila so itβs a great stop for divers. The town is known for its bars that fill up with visitors after a day of diving, as well as its cheap prices. π»
You can book day trips to the smaller cays off the coast of the main island for about $25 round trip. The Utila Cays are absolutely STUNNING and surrounded by some of the bluest water I have ever seen!
