SMB deployment is a standard scuba skill that every diver should be able to perform, especially when diving in the ocean and or drift diving. Even if it’s not part of the dive plan, having an SMB with you is always a good idea to be able to mark your position and avoid being run over by boats etc in case you have to make an unscheduled ascent. Always have an SMB with you and practice deploying it under water - it might come in handy one day. Dive smart, be safe. #scubadiving #padi #iantd #technicaldiving #instructortraining

Another Scuba Skill Demo! ✨️ NEUTRAL HOVERING USING LPI ✨️ Objective; Hover without touching the bottom using the Low Pressure Inflator (LPI) on the Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) 🫧 This is a very important Open Water level skill as most skills will be practised in neutral buoyancy during the course. Being neutral while diving is vital, so we don't harm precious underwater life; or you risk damaging your equipment by running into bottom structures.
