Not everyone can say they were fortunate to know all of their grandparents. Or to even say that they had ones that cared so much to help raise and guide and keep them close. From the very beginning I've had such a special bond with them all. And I feel very fortunate. I'm down to my last pair of them. They're at that age where they're struggling and it's surreal to experience seeing. I don't know when I'll get my mother and my grandmother or grandfather in the same room again. That sounds drastic but I'm wisening up to mortality as fickle as it is, and realizing as I too age that the people you deeply love eventually walk their journey to the next phase. And while it is filled with sorrow, it is also rich in memory and an honor to be by their sides through their experiences here on this planet. I'm very privileged to have this moment to look back on for the rest of my lifetime.
